The SME Fund provides small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in the European Union (EU) with financial support to protect their intellectual property rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Each applicant has the opportunity to receive up to <strong>EUR 7,050 <\/strong>from this fund to finance designs, trademarks, patents, and plant variety protection. A total of EUR 18 million is available for these purposes in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">The fund was established on <strong>February 3, 2025 <\/strong> and will run until <strong>December 5, 2025, <\/strong>or until the allocated funding is exhausted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading alignwide has-text-align-left\"><strong><u>What is funded?<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fund is a reimbursement programme. Grants are awarded in the form of vouchers that can be used for a wide range of intellectual property-related activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Trademark and design applications (max. <strong>EUR 700<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Filing of patents (max. <strong>EUR 3,500<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">IP pre-diagnostic service (IP scan) (max.
