We have launched our new PCT Phase Entry Fee Calculator, available at https://pct-calculator.com/.
The tool helps applicants, in-house IP departments and foreign patent attorneys obtain a quick estimate of the costs and deadlines for entering the German national phase or the European regional phase from an international PCT application.
Determining the applicable official fees is not always straightforward. In particular, the European regional phase may involve several variables that affect the final amount, such as the number of pages, the number of claims, the competent International Searching Authority, and the availability of fee reductions, including micro-entity status where applicable.
Our calculator brings these factors together in a structured way. Users only need to enter the publication number or PCT application number; the relevant application data is then retrieved automatically. Based on this data, the calculator indicates whether phase entry is still possible, shows the relevant 31-month deadline, and provides a transparent estimate of the expected official fees.

The result page presents the calculation in a clear fee overview, including relevant items such as filing fees, designation fees, examination fees, claim fees and additional page fees. This allows users to better understand the cost structure before deciding on the next procedural steps.
The calculator is intended as a practical planning tool. It does not replace a legal review of the individual case and does not itself constitute a filing instruction. Special circumstances or case-specific details may affect the final assessment.
We remain available to review the calculation, confirm the relevant requirements and assist with the actual phase entry before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) or the European Patent Office (EPO).
